The Keeper is in print!

The Keeper is out in paperback!

I feel the need to celebrate. I found out on Christmas Eve, the night before my birthday, (yes, I was born Christmas day) that my eBook was available in paperback format. Happy Birthday to me! One of my publisher ladies, Lisa, of Decadent Publishing posted a message on my fan page to let me know of the paperback. I like how she just sneaked it in there.

First week of January is also the one year anniversary of The Keeper. It was one short year ago that I was going crazy before release day. I was trying to find reviewers, working with Megan McDade to set up a blog tour, filling in spotlight requests, blogging, and answering interview questions. My head was spinning. This year it won't be as crazy so I plan to enjoy it. Not that I didn't enjoy last year, but it was stressful.

I'm excited for the paperback. Now I'll have something tangible to sign that my fans can read. I'll be touring with the girls from YA At Heart Book Tour soon. We're starting to book engagements and set up our calendar for the year. So be on the look out for Crystal Cattabriga, Daniele Lanzarotta, Devyn Dawson, Tressa Messenger, and me to be somewhere on East Coast USA this year.

Visit my website Natalie Star for details on how I plan to celebrate in January! Details coming soon. I have things for a giveaway you just might enjoy; key chain, citrine gem stone, signed swag, a signed paperback of The Keeper...and more. Can't wait, hope to see you there.

Protect Us Blog Tour

Today I'd like to welcome Tressa Messenger to my blog. She's on her blog tour for the Protector series. But first before we get into any of that, I would like to wish her a "Happy one year anniversary"! Yay, congratulations! =)

Okay, moving on...  (oh, and don't forget to enter the rafflecopter below for a giveaway).

Anna-Marie and Alessandro work hard to provide a stable life for their only child, Gemma.  The child that was bestowed to them by their goddess Ameretat for reasons still unknown.  Like Alessandro’s mother did to him, Anna-Marie works diligently to protect her special daughter and lead her away from following in her father’s footsteps in becoming a Protector.  Weeks before Gemma’s eighteenth birthday Gemma has a magical night with a boy, Ford Chase, who just may have been “the one”.  They laughed and danced and kissed under the moon light.  That is before he was forcefully taken away from her by a Rogue.  Gemma desperately chases after them, but to no avail.  Heartbroken and angry Gemma vows right then and there, despite her parents pleading, she will join the Protector order on her eighteenth birthday and avenge Ford’s death.  No one could foresee the events that would ensue thereafter and little by little the gifts that Ameretat blessed Gemma with become apparent and are far more than anyone could ever imagine.

A little about Tressa:
I am a small town girl with big dreams. I grew up in a small coastal community called Pamlico County in the town of Reelsboro, North Carolina. Growing up in such a rural area there wasn't much to do, so I developed a wide fantasy finding solace in writing poetry and songs. After leaving high school I left my little secure coastal town to discover other parts of the country using life as my teacher. It was a sad and lonely time, but also a fun and exciting time in my life. I had too many emotions to process so I started to put it all down on paper. That became the start of my first novel, which I have yet to finish. A few years later I wrote my first complete novel entitled Protector. This novel was a dream come true, although I found out during the process, at 31 years old, I am dyslexic. Reading was always a struggle throughout my life and finding out why has really made a difference in me and my writing. Writing was such a wonderful and daunting process, but I have succeeded in doing something I never thought I would do. I have 4 novels published, Protect, Protect Me, Protect Us and Too Close To Home, with many more on the way. Writing is such a passion of mine and I hope my readers feel the love I put into my work.

Party Like It's The End Of The World

Synopsis:
Digitus 233 – Available Dec. 21st on Amazon

Digitus, the world’s dominant corporation, has studied human nature for centuries. They are experts who expand on a human’s natural gifts and talents to create supreme world leaders in all major areas of science, art, religion, and leadership. A select few are handpicked each year to join the elite.

This year, fifteen-year-old Zeph fights to uncover the truth with the help of an old man and a monkey, while as a final test of induction into Digitus, five teens are dropped from a specially designed Learjet and land on a barren arctic island. They are forced to come together in an effort to survive and escape. Unfortunately, escape is short lived when a Russian ballistic submarine rescues them and a computer malfunction threatens an all-out nuclear attack on North America. Time is running out and the sub’s programmer cannot stop the computer failure. It is up to the teens to convince the Russians they should be allowed to give it a try.

Tick tock.

K.D. Emerson Bio
Author, K.D. Emerson was born (or is that hatched) several years ago. We won’t go into how long it has been because she has this fantasy that she is still a teenager off to conquer the world. Her first novel was written in pencil, stapled together and placed in the school library. At age 6, she didn’t have a clue an author needed a publisher. She has a passion for the written word and assisting other writers in becoming the best they can be. She also loves to promote others and cheer them on to victory. Sins of the Fallen, by Daniele Lanzarotta

Today I'm excited to be spotlighting author Daniele Lanzarotta with her newest, "Sins of the Fallen" (I love that title, and I love the cover). Sins of the Fallen is book #3 in the Academy of the Fallen series which has received great reviews.

And now, here is a synopsis by Daniele's character, Hunter:

I knew how much Kayla had changed over the past few weeks, but it was nothing compared to what I had seen in her from the moment we stepped into this place. The Kayla from before she learned about this world, was gone. She was already attached to some of their kind and I could see that she felt as if it was her responsibility to protect them all, the haunted and the fallen. She was starting to put them before her in every decision she made. It started sometime before we left the Academy where her father is in charge. After her incubus half-brother and his allies attacked the Academy, we managed to leave and take shelter here. Only, everything about this place is completely different. Many of the beings that live here have earned back the privilege of being full-blooded angels. Well, some say that is a privilege; others see it as a curse. Either way, the place itself had already started to become my very own curse. From the moment Kayla stepped foot in this place, I could see her change complete faster and faster. This Academy was giving her the confidence to be who she was meant to be, and deep down, I knew it was only a matter of time before I would no longer be needed in her life. It may sound selfish, but as Kayla started her journey to save those who were left behind, I was fighting for her. I was fighting to be worthy of a Nephilim.

Excerpts:

“There is no amount of training that will keep her safe.  Look at her! She is — she looks like a Barbie doll who got snatched from her dream house.” -Samael – Sins of the Fallen

***

“I won’t stop until I find a way for this to work.  There has to be a way, Kayla.  Everyone keeps saying that we are meant to stay together.   Fate can’t be this twisted.” - Hunter – Sins of the Fallen

***

I paused and looked down at Kayla.  “I can’t lose her, Jennifer.”  I glanced outside where Ethan was and then back at her.  “You understand how I feel.  Please don’t let her die...” - Hunter – Sins of the Fallen
