Getting
out of the store as fast as we could wasn’t easy without causing a few people
to stare our way. Then as we turned down Main Street, evil’s presence was
strong. We hurried to the nearest crossroad and were one block from the house. That's when the pressure I’d been feeling broke through the environment like
shattering glass.
Ducking
and holding my arm up to protect my face, I didn’t see anything, but I could
feel arms lift me and pull me along. We were running fast, but from what and
who I didn’t know, and I had no plans on finding out.
