Next Big Thing Blog Tour
Week #15 of The Next Big Thing Blog Tour
I'd like to thank Joss Landry www.josslandry.com for tagging me in the The Next Big Thing
Blog Tour! It's a lot of fun and we get to meet new authors that we wouldn't have
otherwise! My book my never be the Next Big Thing, but the thirty or so reviews it's gotten
on my first novel have all been pretty good!
Ten Interview Questions for The Next Big Thing:
What is the working title of your book? The Organizer
Where did the idea come from for the book? This is part two in my Trilogy of The Keeper
What genre does your book fall under? Young Adult Paranormal Romance
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition? Unknowns.
None of them remind me of any actors.
What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? Billie's son is of age to be The
Organizer, and the time has come for him to play mediator between good and evil. What
happens when love interferes?
Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency? The plan is to
submit it to the publisher who put out the first book in the series. If it's rejected I will self
pub.
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? It's been in
the works for over a year now.
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? I wouldn't.
It's a unique story with a unique plot. I guess the overall theme people can relate to is
"good vs. evil".
Who or What inspired you to write this book? I had a dream that I couldn't shake for
four days. Finally I wrote it down. What I wrote became part of my prologue for the first
book, The Keeper and I just went from there.
What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest? The main character
is a loner, and has issues that any teen might, but it's harder for him. I've modeled him
after my sonwho is on the autism spectrum with high functioning Aspergers. I don't come
out and say that's what the character has in the book, but I give him some of the quirks.

The Keeper (Young Adult/Paranormal
Romance/heat level 2), by Natalie Star
Blurb:
The morning of her sixteenth birthday, Billie feels blessed despite the
reoccurring nightmare that wakes her. Loving parents, a caring boyfriend, and
great friends surround her until an heirloom necklace throws her into a world
she never imagined.
“Gifted” with supernatural powers and an unexpected destiny as the Keeper, Billie and a mysterious boy from her past must work together to find answers. But, as they begin to discover feelings for one another, he disappears leaving her to fight evil alone. Her life spirals out of control. She breaks up with her boyfriend, Tony, and alienates her best friends Arianna and Jocelyn to protect them from the truth.
As dark forces pursue her, Billie longs to run away from it all, yet a need to do what’s right compels her to face the future as the keeper of more than her own fortune.
